Samuel L. Jackson is getting another recognition for his successful and prolific acting career. It was announced that he will be honored with an Icon Award at the upcoming CinemaCon 2018. The CinemaCon is an annual gathering of theater owners and Hollywood studios, with this year’s ceremony taking place from April 23 to 26 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

“With more than 100 films to his credit and over three decades of bringing some of the most memorable characters to the big screen, Samuel L. Jackson has made an undeniable mark on global movie-going audiences,” said CinemaCon managing director Mitch Neuhauser in a statement. “With characters ranging from Jules Winnfield in Pulp Fiction and Carl Lee Hailey in A Time to Kill to Nick Fury in the Iron Man, Avengers and Captain America films, Jackson has given us every reason to go to the movies.”

Besides Samuel L. Jackson, Tom Cruise will also be honored with the Pioneer of the Year award at the 2018 ceremony.

Samuel L. Jackson won numerous awards in his illustrious career including BAFTA Award for Best Supporting Actor in the 1994’s cult movie Pulp Fiction. Despite making more than 100 movies, the 69-year-old doesn’t show signs of slowing down. He is set to reprise his role of Nick Fury in the upcoming Marvel’s superhero movie Avengers: Infinity War, and will voice the character of Frozone in The Incredibles sequel. We will also be able to see him as Sho’nuff in a remake of 1984’s martial arts movie The Last Dragon.
