Brad Pitt scored a bunch of award nominations for his supporting turn in Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, but there’s at least one accolade he’ll win for sure at this awards season. The famous actor will be honored with the Modern Master Award at the upcoming Santa Barbara Film Festival.

This prestigious honor celebrates individuals who enriched the culture through accomplishments in the motion picture industry. It was first introduced in 1995, and the list of previous recipients includes Denzel Washington, Christopher Nolan, and Cate Blanchett.

Renowned film critic Leonard Maltin, who’ll be moderating the event, described Pitt as someone who wears the mantle of a movie star with good grace, and who’s been giving great performances for decades.

“After the one-two punch of Ad Astra and Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, this year he’s an ideal choice to be presented the Maltin Modern Master Award,” said Maltin in a statement.

Brad Pitt received some of the best reviews of his career for the supporting turn in Quentin Tarantino’s latest movie Once Upon a Time in Hollywood, and he’s currently in the running for several prestigious awards, including Golden Globe, SAG and Critics’ Choice Award.
