Sarah Michelle Gellar has always been somewhat of a Comic-Con royalty, but her appearance at this year’s event was extra special. She was a surprise guest at the Teen Wolf panel, where she announced her participation in the upcoming spinoff series Wolf Pack.

Gellar joined several stars of Paramount+’s Teen Wolf: The Movie, including Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin, at the panel in San Diego, and it turned out she was there for a pretty good reason. She’s set to play a key role in another project from the Teen Wolf creator Jeff Davis.

Wolf Pack is based on Edo Van Belkom’s book series of the same name, which centers on two teens (Armani Jackson and Bella Shepard), whose lives turn upside down after a California wildfire awakens a terrifying supernatural creature.

Gellar will join them as investigator Kristin Ramsey, described as “a highly regarded expert in her field and no stranger to personal loss, brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist who started a massive wildfire which may have also led to the reawakening of a supernatural predator terrorizing Los Angeles.”

Gellar is no stranger to the supernatural genre and her casting in this project will give you nostalgia overload if you loved watching her in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
