Sarah Silverman Sets New HBO Comedy Special

Sarah Silverman has teamed up with HBO for a new stand-up comedy special and a pilot for a late-night series. 

Multiple outlets report that the funny woman two big projects happening with premium cable network, marking her return to HBO since 2013’s We Are Miracles. A Speck of Dust,her most recent and Emmy-nominated special streamed on Netflix. 

The show will feature Silverman “weighing in on the mishigas of the week and taking live video calls,” she said Monday in a statement. 

“I’m as passionate talking about my face-washing routine as I am talking about why billionaires cost us money,” she added. “Nothing’s off the table and nothing’s too high- or lowbrow for me. I mean — look at my face — I’m literally all brow.”

HBO Programming Executive VP Nina Rosenstein added, “Sarah is truly a comedic force of nature, and we’re so happy to have her back on HBO.”
