Scarlett Johansson has been making it to Forbes’ list of highest-paid actresses year after year, and she took the no. 1 spot this time around. For the second year in the row, the MCU star topped the list with total earnings of $56 million over the course of the last 12 months.

Needless to say, Johansson owes her success to her involvement in the Marvel movies, since she received lucrative checks after filming Infinity War and Endgame back to back. She’s currently gearing up to reprise the role of Natasha Romanoff in the upcoming stand-alone Black Widow film.

Johansson was in a pretty good company on Forbes’ latest list: the Modern Family star Sofia Vergara and the Big Little Lies actress Reese Witherspoon also made it to top 3. The time period taken into the account while calculating their income took place between June 1, 2018, and June 1, 2019, before fees and taxes.
