The cast of Schitt’s Creek won’t have their farewell tour after all. Eugene Levy, co-creator and star of the beloved Canadian sitcom, recently revealed on social media that all the tour dates have now been canceled.

The tour was originally announced in early 2020 as a way to celebrate the end of the sitcom. It would see Levy and his co-stars engaging with the fans and sharing some behind-the-scenes stories and interesting facts.

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the tour was postponed several times. According to Levy, although the cast had “every hope and intention” to go through with the plan after the postponement, they encountered issues with rescheduling dates and had to call it quits.

“We’re sorry to be missing you, and we will continue to try and find a way to see you in the future,” Levy added.

Schitt’s Creek follows the once-wealthy Rose family who finds themselves in a tough spot after losing their fortune. They decide to relocate to the small town of Schitt’s Creek, their only remaining asset, where they need to learn how to adjust to their new situation.

The series found success with fans and critics, earning widespread praise during its five-year run. The sitcom won nine awards at the 2020 Emmys, breaking the record for the most decorated comedy at a single ceremony.
