Dan Levy ended the final season of Schitt’s Creek on a high and walked away with four Emmys, and his future is looking bright. The award-winning comedian signed a major deal with Netflix, and he’ll kick things off with a romantic comedy that he’s set to star in, direct, write, and produce.

Levy’s first-look feature deal and an overall deal in scripted content with Netflix didn’t come as a huge shocker because Schitt’s Creek became a huge hit since hitting this streaming platform.

“Netflix offered Schitt’s Creek a second home at just the right time and opened the doors to a whole new audience for us. Watching the show thrive there has only enhanced my excitement about continuing to tell specific, meaningful stories with them in both TV and feature film,” said Levy in an official statement.

Levy co-created Schitt’s Creek alongside his father Eugene Levy and went on to win four Emmys for the final season of the show, including outstanding comedy series. Following the series finale, he went on to appear alongside Kristen Stewart in the romantic comedy Happiest Season and received another Emmy nod for his hosting gig on Saturday Night Live.
