Sci-Fi Drama “Humans” Cancelled After Three Seasons

AMC and Channel 4 just canceled one of their most ground-breaking shows to date. Sci-fi series Humans spent three seasons exploring the impact of artificial intelligence on the world at large, but it’s done with its mission.

Humans was inspired by the Swedish science fiction drama Real Humans, and it focused on the social and psychological impact of the invention of “’Synths” – highly-developed robotic servants who look just like real people.

This critically acclaimed show starred Gemma Chan, Katherine Parkinson, and Tom Goodman-Hill. It was created by Jonathan Brackley and Sam Vincent, who bid farewell to this show on Twitter and thanked everyone who made it work – including the show’s devoted fanbase.

“Thank you so much for the messages, support, podcasts, bespoke mugs and for never setting up a petition to make us redo something. It means more than anything to see the show resonating with you like it did. The worst thing about this is that we can’t keep the story going for the people that love it.”
