Sci-Fi Show “Legion” to Wrap Up After Season 3

Bill Irwin, Dan Stevens, Jeremie Harris, and Rachel Keller in Legion

FX gave us one of the most refreshing additions to the Marvel canon with their hit show Legion, but all good things must come to an end. This X-Men-inspired series will be going off air after three glorious seasons.

FX CEO John Landgraf announced third season of Legion will be its last during the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour. Despite the fact it is leaving us too soon, this show will end exactly how creator Noah Hawley envisioned it, since he always wanted this story to have three acts.

Head of Marvel Television Jeph Loeb said the door is always open for Hawley to come back, if he ever decides to take us on another adventure with David Haller, a mutant with enormous powers and mysterious past.

“From Marvel’s point of view, Noah told us the end of the story when he told us the beginning of the story. These characters, some of which are part of the Marvel library, will live on. If Noah came back to us in a day or a year, we hope that FX would want to tell the next story,” said Loeb.
