Paramount is currently plotting an exciting spy comedy, and the creative masterminds behind it are truly the cream of the crop. Sebastian Stan and Maria Bakalova will play lead roles in this promising project, while Paul Feig is circling the director’s chair.

Jenny Bicks (Welcome to Flatch) will write the script for this untitled spy comedy about a failed double agent who finds unlikely success. Paul Feig will produce the film alongside Stan, Emmy winner Emily Gerson Saines, and Laura Allen Fischer for Feigco Entertainment. He could potentially come on board as a director, as well.

Stan is fresh off the success of his role in the mini-series Pam & Tommy, for which he received his first Emmy, Golden Globe, and Critics’ Choice Award nominations. He has several promising projects on the way, including the psychological thriller A Different Man, the crime thriller Sharper, and the biopic Dumb Money.

Bakalova rose to prominence with the Oscar-nominated role in Borat Subsequent Moviefilm in 2020, and she’s been pretty busy ever since. She starred in Bodies Bodies Bodies and The Bubble last year, and we’ll soon get to see her make her MCU debut as the voice of Cosmo the Spacedog in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3.
