Here’s a first look of Steven Spielberg’s West Side Story remake.
Spielberg’s upcoming musical adaptation is based on the original 1957 Broadway musical, written by Arthur Laurents with music by Leonard Bernstein. It is set for release on December 18, 2020.
The image features stars Ansel Elgort and Rachel Zegler as Tony and Maria as well as members of the rival gangs the Sharks and the Jets.

Spielberg is directing from a script penned by Tony Kushner. Gustavo Dudamel will helm the recording of Bernstein’s score and composer David Newman will be arranging the score for the new adaptation.
The image was unveiled by 20th Century Fox via social media on Monday.
