We’ll soon get to see Selena Gomez return as Mabel Mora in Only Murders in the Building, but that doesn’t mean she’s neglecting her music career. The former Disney star recently revealed she started working on her next album and she’s even considering promoting it with a tour.

Gomez discussed her plans for the future on Deadline’s Crew Call podcast and said she’s currently in Los Angles, working on her new album. The Grammy-nominated singer also revealed she would consider going back to touring once her next record comes out.

“I’m open to a tour, one thousand percent, but I obviously have obligations and things I wanna do, so when the time’s right. It’s not the top of my priority list,” she explained.

Gomez’s statement comes as a pleasant surprise for her fans because they haven’t seen her tour in over five years. Her Revival Tour took place in 2016, but she wrapped it up after three months and canceled many dates due to her lupus diagnosis.

The singer’s last album Rare came out in 2020, and it produced her very first chart-topping single “Lose You to Love Me”. Its release was followed by her Spanish-language EP Revelación, which earned her very first Grammy nod for the best Latin pop album.
