We’ve watched many beloved ’80s movies and TV shows get rebooted and it seems Working Girl is the next one in line. 20th Century Studios is plotting a new version of the acclaimed romantic comedy, and Selena Gomez is reportedly helping them to get it off the ground.

This project is still in the early stages of development, and Deadline reports that Gomez is in final negotiations to produce the project. It’s unclear if she would join the project in any other capacity. Ilana Pena is set to adapt the script and the project would most likely premiere on Hulu if it gets a green light.

Gomez is already a Hulu veteran and she’s currently starring in a hit crime-comedy series Only Murders in the Building alongside Steve Martin and Martin Short. She received her first Emmy nomination as a producer of this show but was notably snubbed in acting categories.

Mike Nichols’ original Working Girl came out in 1988 and it starred Melanie Griffith, Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, and Joan Cusack. It was nominated for six Academy Awards, including best picture, and eventually won one accolade—best original song for “Let the River Run” by Carly Simon.
