Selena Gomez is a woman of many talents, but it seems one of them will soon have to take a back seat. The Grammy nominee recently revealed she’s thinking about taking a break from music because she feels she only has one more album left in her.
Gomez appeared on the latest episode of the SmartLess podcast with Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes, and Will Arnett, and dropped some hints about her plans for the future. She recalled getting into singing after recording a theme song for her Disney Channel series Wizards of Waverly Place, but she never expected it to become her full-time career.
Gomez is primarily known as a singer these days, but that could change soon. She’s planning to take a break from music to focus on acting, her brand Rare Beauty, and her charity work.
“I do feel like I have one more album in me, but I would probably choose acting. I am gonna wanna chill because I’m tired… “I wanted to be an actress, I never really intended on being a singer full-time but apparently that hobby turned into something else,” said Gomez.
This announcement comes shortly after Gomez shared exciting news about her next album with Vogue Mexico. She said it’s going to be a “real pop record” with an R&B moment and no sad songs.
