Selena Gomez hasn’t released any new music this year, but she’s getting ready to end summer on a high note! She teased the release of her brand-new song “Single Soon”, set to hit the shelves next week.
Produced by Benny Blanco and Cashmere Cat, “Single Soon” will be released on August 25, and it’s her way to give her fans a fun “end of the summer” song to enjoy as a way of thanking them for patiently waiting for her new music.
“Y’all have been asking for new music for a while. Since I’m not quite done with SG3, I wanted to put out a fun little song I wrote a while back that’s perfect for the end of summer,” she wrote on social media.
“Single Soon” marks Gomez’s first song of 2023, but she’s been making waves on the charts this summer without releasing any new music. She hopped on the remix of Rema’s Afrobeats hit “Calm Down” this time last year, but this song is still making waves on the charts all around the world and it peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Gomez previously told Vanity Fair that her next album will be “really powerful, strong, very pop”, and added its main theme will be “freedom from relationships [and] freedom from the darkness.”
