Selena Gomez’s first single of the year is finally here and it sees her embracing love in all its shapes and forms! Love is in the air in the music video for her new song “Love On”, which seems to be inspired by her fascination with Paris.
Helmed by French director Greg Ohrel, the video opens with Gomez standing on the stairs, stuck between a group of kissing couples. As the video progresses, we get to see her change a series of glam outfits, serving some major Parisian chic, drawing inspiration from the time she recently spent in the City of Light.
“Love On” is the singer’s first release since last year’s “Single Soon”, which was released as a standalone single. She previously dropped hints about her new album in an interview with Vogue Mexico and described it as a real pop record with an R&B moment.
Gomez’s fans should savor each new song she shares with the world because it’s just a matter of time before she stops. During a recent appearance on the SmartLess podcast, the singer said she only has one more album left in her, adding she’s planning to focus on acting afterward. She already set this plan in motion and booked a role in the upcoming Linda Ronstadt biopic, in addition to co-leading the Hulu series Only Murders in the Building.
