It’s been an exciting week for Seth Meyers. After he was announced as a 2018 Golden Globes host, Meyers had more happy news to share with his audience on Late Night With Seth Meyers. In the show’s Thanksgiving episode on Thursday, Meyers revealed that he and his wife are expecting their second child together. Before making the announcement, Meyers welcomed to the show his parents Larry and Hillary Meyers and his brother Josh Meyers.

“A couple years ago on this show, we announced that we were having Ashe and so I wanna take this opportunity now, you guys obviously know, but my wife and I are expecting a second baby,” – said Seth while the audience cheered. “Very exciting, thank you.”

Seth’s mom used the opportunity to tell the story about the how Seth called her “unable to catch his breath and sobbing” after he found out the news. You can check the announcement and the story in the video below.

Meyers and his wife Alexi Ashe were together for five years before getting engaged in July 2013. The couple married on September 1, 2013, in Martha’s Vineyard. Alexi gave birth to their son Ashe Olson Meyers on March 27, 2016.

After multiple reports and rumors in the past couple of weeks, it was revealed on Wednesday that Meyers will host the 75th Annual Golden Globe Awards. It will be his second time that he hosts an award ceremony, after serving as a host of 66th Primetime Emmy Awards in 2014.
