“Sex Education” Season 2: Netflix Sets Premiere Date

The new year will bring with it a new season of Sex Education. 

The highly anticipated second season of Netflix’s hit British comedy will make its debut on the streamer in January. So mark your calendars —  all eight episodes of the season will launch on the service January 17, 2020. 

The premiere date was announced on Twitter by Netflix UK & Ireland on Monday, writing, “Get in losers, the new term is starting.”

Season two will see Otis Milburn (Asa Butterfield) attempting to master his newly discovered sexual urges, at the same time that Moordale Secondary is in the throes of a Chlamydia outbreak. 

Sex Education also stars Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey, Aimee Lou Woods, Patricia Allison, Connor Swindells, and Ncuti Gatwa. Per IndieWire, new characters for season 2 include talented academic student Viv (Chinenye Ezeudu), new student Rahim (Sami Outalbali), and Isaac (George Robinson), who moves into Maeve’s caravan park.

The first season is currently available to stream on Netflix.
