Shakira’s recent Super Bowl performance reminded us why we love her so much, and she’s finally ready to rock our world with some new tracks. The music video for her new single “Me Gusta” is here, and it sees her joining forces with the rising reggaeton star Anuel AA.
The colorful video for their first collaboration was directed by Drew Kirsch, and it opens with the two stars sitting on a high-speed train. It sees Shakira rocking several outfits inspired by Japanese culture, including a pink dress by Kuwaiti designer Yousef Al-Jasmi.
Shakira and Anuel AA originally dropped this song on January 13th, and it already found impressive success on Billboard’s Hot Latin Songs chart. It reached no. 6 on this chart, and debuted in the top 10 in multiple Latin American countries.
“Me Gusta” is Shakira’s first lead single in two years, and its release hints that she probably has a new album on the way. Her latest LP, El Dorado, came out in 2017, and it was followed by a tour across the world.
