The second season of Shining Vale ended its run earlier this month, and it will serve as the show’s final chapter. Starz canceled this horror-comedy series after two seasons and announced their decision to remove it from their streaming service.

Shining Vale centers on Pat and Terry Phelps (Courteney Cox and Greg Kinnear), who leave their life in a cramped Brooklyn apartment to move into an old mansion in Connecticut. This house seems like quite a steal, but Pat starts wondering if she’s depressed or possessed after learning about terrible atrocities that have taken place inside it.

In addition to Cox and Kinnear, Shining Vale also starred Sherilyn Fenn, Mira Sorvino, Merrin Dungey, Gus Birney, Dylan Gage, and Judith Light in supporting roles.

Jeff Astrof, who co-created this series alongside Sharon Horgan, said that he already started working on Season 3 before the show’s cancelation, and he’s holding onto hope that Shining Vale would find a new home.

“I’m hoping another streamer picks the show up as we still have lots of story to tell — and Season 3 has already been partially written. In any case, I am beyond grateful to have been able to tell the saga of the Phelps for the past two seasons,” Astrof told Variety.
