Sia just went undercover to surprise unsuspecting shoppers during their supermarket run.
Although Sia is one of the best-selling pop artists of our time, few people can pick her out of a crowd. The reason is not that she has few fans, but the contrary. The “Cheap Thrills” singer covers her face with a long wig that reaches passed her nose.
This is why fans didn’t recognize her when she showed up at their local supermarket declaring that she was a woman named Cici who had just won the lottery. She then proceeded to pay for everyone’s groceries.
This may sound like a brilliant press stunt, but Sia did not bring her camera crew. In fact, the only reason we even know it happened is because grateful fans shared their personal footage on Twitter.
“Sia told everyone in Wal-Mart her name was Cici and she won the lottery. Then she paid for everyone’s groceries,” one user tweeted.
Another wrote: “Tell me why the lady buying everyone items at my Walmart was the singer @Sia. Totally didn’t know it was her. I kept thanking her cause she was buying customers baskets full of items. And she did not once ask for any recognition. Bless her heart.”
And she doesn’t even have a new album coming out. Good on you, Sia.
