Silicon Valley is one of the defining HBO comedies of this decade, but all good things must come to an end. This series is ending its run later this fall, and the first trailer for the final season just revealed what lies ahead for the Pied Piper gang.
The hilarious trailer shows our hero Richard Hendricks (Thomas Middleditch) testifying in front of the congress in his signature fidgety manner – or as his friend Gilfoyle describes it, “like a child in a messy custody hearing”.
We’ve seen Hendricks and his team at Pied Piper going through many ups and downs over the course of the previous five seasons, and it will be interesting to see if they finally thrive in the end or lose everything they’ve worked for. Judging by the twists and turns that Silicon Valley put as through, things could easily go both ways.
The masterminds behind this series, Mike Judge and Alec Berg, described this series as their “career and life highlight” after HBO announced its cancelation back in May. The final season will premiere on October 27th and give us a chance to say goodbye to the Pied Piper gang.
