Chloe Fineman is the latest Saturday Night Live cast member to venture into film. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fineman is set to have her cinematic debut in the upcoming remake of romantic comedy Father of the Bride.

Directed by Gaz Alazraki, the movie will focus on a Cuban-American family and overly-protective father who is struggling to come to terms with his daughter’s wedding. Andy García, Gloria Estefan, Adria Arjona, and Diego Boneta star in the main roles.

Fineman will reportedly have a major part in the feature, playing the wedding planner. Martin Short, who also has SNL work on his resume, starred as the eccentric European wedding coordinator Franck Eggelhoffer in the ’90s version of the movie.

Following the reports about her involvement in the project, Fineman confirmed the news on Instagram.

Chloe Fineman started her career doing impressions on social media and performing as a stand-up comedian. She had her television debut in comedy-drama Mozart in the Jungle in 2018, followed by appearances in Grown-ish and Jane the Virgin.

Fineman joined the cast of SNL in 2019 and soon became a fan-favorite thanks to her impressions of Drew Barrymore, Meryl Streep, Timothée Chalamet, and Nicole Kidman, among others.
