Sony has confirmed two dates for movies set in the Spider-Man universes.

It might be a long way off, but an untitled Sony-Marvel movie will be released on July 10, 2020. An untitled sequel in the same universe will follow on October 2.

No specifics have been revealed yet, but we can make an educated guess. It is likely that the July project will be Morbius, starring Jared Leto. Morbius is a living vampire from the Marvel universe. The villain seeks a cure for a blood disease and then ends up transitioning into a vamp. The project is set to be directed by Daniel Espinosa.

It is also reasonable to assume that the scheduled sequel is for Venom, which was generally well-received upon its release earlier this year. Although critics did not respond particularly well to the Tom Hardy film, it fared well in the box-office and has earned close to $570 million worldwide. It is therefore highly likely that Sony would want to capitalize on the movie’s success by bringing out a sequel.

Nonetheless, all we can say for sure is that there are two Sony Marvel movies on their way. We will share more details when they are announced.
