Discussions are happening among South Park creators regarding the possibility of a South Park movie.

The hilariously offensive cartoon has been running for 23 years now. It fires shots at people from all walks of life and seems to be getting funnier and more topical with each season that passes.

ViacomCBS recently appointed Grant Gish, former Marvel Studios animation boss as Senior VP of Adult Animation. He is reportedly looking into ways to take the South Park brand even further.

Gish told CNBC: “As long as you’re doing something new, and that could be anything from a new style to a new tone to a new voice coming from a specific writer, I think it can work.

“An animation audience is looking for something unique. That’s what The Simpsons and South Park have famously done. So I want to try a little bit of everything, even though a lot of it will be targeted to the tried and true with brands people know.”

He did not give much away concerning whether or not a movie is in the works but by the sounds of it, exciting things are on the way.
