“Spider-Man: Far From Home” Dominates Fourth of July Weekend Box Office

Spider-Man: Far From Home is an official box office hit. 

The film’s six-day 4th of July release has baked some major dollars for Sony hauling an estimated $185 million domestically and a whopping $395 million overseas. 

The latest installment of the web-slinging hero has set several records since its debut Tuesday night including biggest Tuesday ticket sales of all time ($38 million), best Wednesday grosses for a Marvel movie ($27 million), the second-largest 4th of July holiday ($25 million) and finally Sony Pictures’ biggest six-day opening weekend ever per Variety. 

The second spot in the domestic box office goes to Toy Story 4, with an estimated $34.3 million followed by musical Beatles fantasy Yesterday in third place with an estimated $10.8 million across.
