Reckon you could beat the odds in Squid Game? Now’s your chance to find out…

Netflix has approved an immersive interactive experience based on the Korean drama which became the most-watched series on the streaming platform. More than 142 million member households tuned in, with the show amassing 1.65 billion viewing hours in the first four weeks since its launch, surpassing Bridgerton for the title of the most-watched show.

The worldwide sensation sees people who are down on their luck competing in a series of children’s games to win $38 million. The only catch is that those who don’t make it to the next round are “eliminated”.

Fans of the series will now get their own shot at playing—albeit a far less fatal one—during an interactive gaming event in New York City. Organized by Immersive Gamebox, two to six players will be allowed to participate by using a system of motion sensors, touch screens, and projections to simulate the popular show.

Squid Game is the latest Netflix series to receive an interactive experience as both Stranger Things and Bridgertonhave their own in cities around the world.

The Squid Game version will launch in NYC’s Lower East Side this fall.
