It feels like forever ago since St. Vincent gave us her latest studio album Masseduction, and she’s finally ready for its follow-up. The Grammy-winning singer announced her next LP is “locked and loaded” for 2021.

St. Vincent surprised her loyal fans with this announcement on social media but hasn’t shared any crucial details about the album just yet. She simply tweeted, “The rumors are true. New record “locked and loaded” for 2021. Can’t wait for you to hear it.”

St. Vincent’s last album Masseduction was released back in 2017, and it became her first record to make it to the top 10 on the Billboard 200 chart. It went on to receive the nomination for the best alternative music album at the Grammy Awards, while its title track came out victorious in the best rock song category.

Following its release, St. Vincent hasn’t dropped any solo singles and mostly collaborated with other artists. She was credited as a co-writer on Taylor Swift’s track “Cruel Summer”, made an appearance on Sheryl Crow’s album Threads, and collaborated with The Chicks on their latest album Gaslighter along with Jack Antonoff.
