Multiple outlets report that CBS All Access has renewed Star Trek: Picard for a second season.
News of the renewal comes just over a month before the series debuts its first season!
The series stars Patrick Stewart, who reprises his iconic, titular role as Jean-Luc Picard. Isa Briones, Santiago Cabrera, Michelle Hurd, Alison Pill, Harry Treadaway and Evan Evagora co-star in the series.
The forthcoming Trek iteration will be the ninth television series in the brand’s history but the first one named after an individual.
Alex Kurtzman executive produce alongside Michael Chabon, Akiva Goldsman, James Duff, Heather Kadin, Rod Roddenberry, and Trevor Roth.
Season 1 of Picard will premiere on January 23, 2020.
