Star Trek: Prodigy creators Kevin and Dan Hageman and Star Trek universe chief Alex Kurtzman confirmed this show will be back, and added they’re hard at work on the second season.
“Thank you to our incredible Star Trek: Prodigy fans, who championed not just a show, but a community that’s always been connected by the belief that we build a better future together. We set out to inspire you, but you inspired us,” said the trio in a statement.
Star Trek: Prodigy was originally developed as a Nickelodeon series before heading to its affiliated streaming service Paramount+. It was meant to introduce Star Trek to a younger audience, and its voice cast included Kate Mulgrew, Brett Gray, Ella Purnell, Rylee Alazraqui, Angus Imrie, Jason Mantzoukas, Dee Bradley Baker, John Noble, and Jimmi Simpson.
