Grey’s Anatomy produced one of its most successful spin-offs with Station 19, but all good things must come to an end. The first responder drama will return for its seventh season this spring, but this will also mark its final chapter after ABC officially announced its cancelation.

Station 19 premiered on ABC in 2018 and it went on to become the most successful Grey’s Anatomy spin-off to date. It centers on a group of firefighters working at the Seattle Fire Department and chronicles both their personal and professional lives.

Craig Erwich, president and Disney Television Group, announced the show’s cancelation but added there’s a lot to look forward to during its final season – including the milestone 100th episode.

“For seven seasons Station 19 has been a highlight of the ABC lineup thanks to Shonda and Betsy’s incredible vision, beloved characters, and compelling storytelling. With Zoanne and Peter at the helm of the upcoming farewell season, we have so much to look forward to,” said Erwich in a statement.

Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George, Grey Damon, Barrett Doss, Jay Hayden, Danielle Savre, Boris Kodjoe, Stefania Spampinato, and Josh Randall are expected to return in Season 7. The final season will premiere on March 14, 2024, and it will feature a total of 10 episodes.
