Netflix is continuing with its high profile comedy specials. It was announced on Tuesday that the streaming service giant will produce a new comedy special featuring Steve Martin and Martin Short. Titled Steve Martin and Martin Short: An Evening You Will Forget for the Rest of Your Life, the special will be based on the duo’s current tour and will make its way to Netflix later this year. Steve Martin made the announcement posting a short video on his Twitter profile.

The special was taped at the Peace Center in Greenville on Friday. This show is a part of their national tour which will run through October. The tour has the duo mixing comedy and music, talking about their careers, and performing stand up bits.

Martin and Short have been friends for over three decades and serving as Saturday Night Live and Three Amigos co-stars. According to the reviews, the tour has been a success and delivers a great value for money. If this is true then the special will be a great score for Netflix.

“Touring with Steve is a lot like the movie Deliverance: It’s all fun and games till the banjos come out,” Short described the tour in his interview with Billboard.

The comedy special from Steve Martin and Martin Short is just one of many recent successful lands for Netflix. Previously the streaming service featured comedy specials from some of the biggest names in the field including Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Dave Chappelle and Amy Schumer. Chappelle’s special was such a success that Netflix ended up producing four in total.
