Steven Soderbergh is ready to kick off the production of his next project No Sudden Move, and its cast is looking pretty epic. David Harbour, Benicio Del Toro, Jon Hamm, and Don Cheadle will take the lead roles in this promising crime thriller that’s coming to HBO Max.

Known by the working title Kill Switch, this film is set in 1950s Detroit and follows a group of small-time criminals brought together under mysterious circumstances, who are forced to unravel a huge mystery after the job they were hired to do goes sideways.

In addition to Harbour, Del Toro, Hamm, and Cheadle, the star-studded cast of this project also includes Amy Seimetz (Upstream Color), Ray Liotta (Goodfellas), Kieran Culkin (Succession), Brendan Fraser (The Mummy), Noah Jupe (Honey Boy), and Julia Fox (Uncut Gems).

The project started shooting on-location in Detroit under strict COVID-19 safety protocols. Soderbergh said he’s “very excited behind [his] mask right now” because things worked out really well the last time he shot a movie in Detroit with a great script and a great cast.
