Marvel managed to round out a pretty impressive cast for their upcoming superhero flick Thunderbolts and one more amazing actor is joining in their ranks. The Oscar-nominated actor Steven Yeun joined this promising MCU project in a key role.

Yeun rose to prominence with the role of Glenn Rhee on the hit zombie show The Walking Dead, and his career has been blossoming ever since he left this series behind. He received his first Oscar nomination for the role in Minari and just recently stole the show in Jordan Peele’s latest film Nope.

Marvel has yet to reveal which character Yeun will play, but he’ll be in pretty good company. The cast of this project will also include Florence Pugh, Sebastian Stan, David Harbour, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Wyatt Russell, Hannah John-Kamen, Olga Kurylenko, and Ayo Edebiri, who recently joined the project in an undisclosed role.

Thunderbolts will be released as a part of the Phase Five of the Marvel Cinematic Universe on July 26, 2024. Not much is known about it at this point, but it will most likely center on an antihero team of reformed supervillains from the Marvel comics. Jake Schreier is attached to direct, while Eric Pearson wrote the screenplay.
