Ian Brown has announced his new solo album along with a new single.

The frontman of The Stone Roses teased his new track with a collection of posters put up around his hometown, Manchester. The new single is called “First World Problems” and will be featured on the upcoming album Ripples. The album will be his first solo album in one year shy of a decade.

You can listen to the catchy, 90s inspired track here:

He sings: “There you go again with your first world problems / Where your living is easy
Messing up your mind the daily grind, gotta leave it all behind / Driving everybody crazy,” casually mocking Westerners complaining about their bourgeois lifestyle. The song ironically sounds more like The Stone Roses than the most recent track (“All For One”) released by the band.

Ripples was recorded in Liverpool and Brown produced the entire record. He also wrote most of the songs on the album and co-wrote three songs with his sons.
