Syfy has added two names to its list of canceled shows.

opted to ax both Happy and Deadly Class.

According to multiple outlets, NBCUniversal-owned cable network has canceled dramas Happy, after two seasons, and Deadly Class, after one. Both dramas will be shopped by Universal Content Productions and Sony TV, respectively.

Deadly Class, based on the Image Comics graphic novel of the same name, followed an orphan who becomes a student assassin at King’s Dominion High School for the Deadly Arts. It starred Lana Condor, Benjamin Wadsworth and Benedict Wong.

Happy starred Christopher Meloni and Patton Oswalt. Based on the comic of the same name by Grant Morrison and Darick Robertson, it revolved around a corrupt ex-cop-turned-hit man named Nick Sax and a tiny blue unicorn named Happy (voiced by Oswalt).

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the decision to cancel was not an easy one for the network, however, ratings were simply too low to bring back the series for another season.

The two dramas join other recent cancellations at Syfy including Nightflyers, Channel Zero, and Killjoys. But not to worry, Syfy’s next season looks to have a full roster with a slew of projects in development.
