Butler remains one of Hollywood’s busiest action stars, and he has several high-profile projects on the way, including Den of Thieves 2: Pantera and In the Hand of Dante.

]]>In the Hand of Dante is based on Nick Tosches’ book of the same name, and the action kicks off when the original manuscript of Dante’s The Divine Comedy emerges on the black market. The mob calls a weary scholar Nick to authenticate it, but he can’t resist the temptation to steal it for himself.
His choice takes him on a dark and violent path, where Nick and Dante’s timelines weave separate paths, but with many similarities that tie them together, as they lose themselves chasing love, beauty, and the very promise of the divine.
Oscar Isaac, Jason Momoa, and Gerard Butler will head to Italy to film this project, which landed an interim agreement from SAG-AFTRA allowing them to film during the actors’ strike. Oscar nominee Julian Schnabel is coming on board as a director and one of the executive producers, along with Isaac through his production company Mad Gene Media, and Martin Scorsese alongside DreamCrew, Screen Capital/Screen One, and Tribune Pictures.

“I go over to hunt him down, but with different intentions than you might imagine. So we’re gonna be in Marseilles, the Alps, and London—it’s definitely a more glamorous journey than the last one, and probably a more fun, sexy journey,” he added.
Directed by Christian Gudegast, Den of Thieves centers on a police squad that is attempting to stop a group of thieves from robbing the Federal Reserve in Los Angeles. The movie received mixed reviews from critics but ended up being a box-office success and earning $80.5 million compared to a $30 million budget. Besides Butler and Jackson, the movie also starred rapper 50 Cent, Max Holloway, Evan Jones, Mo McRae, Dawn Olivieri, and Pablo Schreiber.
The sequel was picked up shortly after the release of the original movie and will see Gudegast returning as a writer and director. Butler and Jackson are the only returning members of the cast confirmed so far.

]]>Butler and Baccarin will reprise their roles as John and Allison Garrity while most of the team behind the cameras is set to make their return as well. This includes director Ric Roman Waugh and writer Chris Sparling.
The first Greenland movie follows the Garrity family and their fight for survival while a huge comet is heading towards Earth and threatening to end the world as we know it. The feature received positive reviews from the critics and had a modest box-office success despite receiving a limited theatrical release due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The sequel will reportedly once again focus on the Garritys, who survived the comet hit in their Greenland bunker. They now have to leave the bunker’s safety and embark on a dangerous journey across frozen Europe to find a new home.
