]]>Season 2 of Dr. Death centers on “Miracle Man” Paolo Macchiarini (Ramírez), a charming surgeon renowned for his innovative operations. Investigative journalist Benita Alexander (Mandy Moore) approaches him for a story, but the line between personal and professional quickly starts to blur as they get closer.
Her life gets forever changed as she learns more about Macchiarini and how far he’s willing to go to protect his secrets. To make things even more complicated, a group of doctors halfway across the world make shocking discoveries, calling everything about Macchiarini into question.
In addition to Ramírez and Moore, Season 2 of Dr. Death will also star Rita Volk, Judy Reyes, Jack Davenport, Annika Boras, and Sandra Andreis. Jennifer Morrison directed the first four episodes, while Laura Belsey was in charge of helming the second half. Ashley Michel Hoban serves as the series’ new showrunner, taking over from Patrick Macmanus.
The second season of Dr. Death will feature a total of eight episodes, set to premiere on Peacock on December 21.

]]>Even though it serves as the sixth installment in the Insidious horror franchise, Thread is an offshoot project. Like the previous films, it will examine everyday people caught up with demonic entities—this time through the story of a husband and wife who use a mysterious spell to travel back in time and prevent the death of their young daughter to dire consequences.
Moore has been looking for new roles since wrapping up This Is Us after six seasons just last year. She’s set to star opposite Edgar Ramirez in the second season of Peacock’s anthology series Dr. Death, in addition to being attached to Hulu’s series Twin Flames.
As for the Eternals star Kumail Nanjiani, we’ve seen him in several high-profile projects in recent years. He led the true crime series Welcome to Chippendales, in addition to starring in Disney+ smash hit Obi-Wan Kenobi just last year. He’ll next be seen in the untiled Ghostbusters: Afterlife this winter, in addition to voicing Universal’s star-studded animated film Migration.

]]>The star of This is Us announced on her Instagram that she and husband Taylor Goldsmith are adding to their family.
The pair began dating in 2015 and tied the knot three years later in an intimate ceremony in Moore’s backyard. Around 50 close friends and family members were in attendance, including the “Little Dreams” singer’s co-stars on the NBC hit.
The couple was upgraded to parents when they welcomed their son, August, in February last year, and now he is about to attain the status of big brother!
Posting a photograph of the 16-month-old child, the expectant mom made reference to This is Us having just ended by writing, “One incredibly seminal chapter of my life just ended and the next one, as a mother of two, is about to start… and are we ever so deeply grateful and excited. Baby Boy Goldsmith #2 coming this fall!”
The Dawes frontman echoed his wife’s excitement in an Insta post of his own.
“Gus is gonna be the best big brother. @mandymooremm is gonna be the best MomOf2. There’s a good chance I’m the happiest, luckiest person you know (or just follow) and now we’re gonna double it.”
Moore’s announcement comes just days before she heads out on her North American tour to promote her seventh studio album, In Real Life.

Moore’s main goal with this tour is to show the world the side of herself that she wanted to put back into the universe for a long time and give her fans an inside glimpse into her writing and recording process. “It’s been over a decade since I’ve hit the road but I am thrilled to put together an intimate, elevated evening of new and old tunes, performed with a superb group of musicians,” she said in a statement.
Her tour will kick off with a concert in Pittsburgh on March 20, 2020, and she’s set to perform in several major cities, including New York, Chicago, Nashville, San Francisco, and Dallas.

The drama revolves around a family from a small town in Florida who must adapt to their extraordinary new reality when their teenage daughter goes from aspiring singer to pop superstar practically overnight.

The star of This Is Us embarked on quite a walk to remember as she reached base camp on the world’s highest mountain.
“We hiked to base camp-a weekend long trip through the Himalayas that anyone hiking the south side of Everest must journey through to begin their climb,”
The 35-year-old completed the trek with her friends and captured many pictures to show her fans.
While Mandy didn’t go all the way to the peak — “Everest takes about 2 months total to climb to the top!” she said — she did reach 17,600 feet above sea level.

The 34-year-old has been dating Dawes frontman, Taylor Goldsmith, for 2 years and got engaged in September 2017.
Being the second marriage for Mandy, who was betrothed to musician Ryan Adams for 6 years, the bride wore a pink Rodarte gown which featured a tiered tulle skirt, floral-embellished waist, and high ruffled neckline.
Mandy’s on-screen family was there to see her walk down the aisle, including Milo Ventimiglia, Chrissy Metz, and Sterling K. Brown.
We hope she didn’t get a crockpot as a gift.

]]>Almost a decade has passed since the This Is Us star stepped into the recording studio. But now, Moore, is back in the studio, recording new music.
After missing out on an Emmy nomination earlier this week, the singer/actress returned to the studio and treated her fans with a teaser of what’s to come. Sharing “a little demo” of a new song she’s recording, she wrote, “Getting back to it. It’s time. I miss it. I’m not scared anymore. No more excuses. No more allowing someone’s else insecurities to dictate my relationship to music and singing. Boom,” Moore captioned the audio snippet. “Also – this is just a little demo of something @themikeviola and I worked on yesterday… but still, it’s a start! ”
Moore released a total of six LPs, the first in 1999 and her most recent in 2009. She was shot to teen pop fame with her breakout hit “Candy.” Over the years, however, her acting career had eclipsed her music career.
It seems that Moore has never lost her passion for getting behind the mic as several of her acting roles include singing, including her current singing on the hit drama, This Is Us.
