It’s been years since Zedd and Maren Morris dropped their megahit “The Middle” and they finally joined forces again. The duo gave us another fantastic collab with their new single “Make You Say”, also featuring production duo Beauz.

Zedd started plotting this song with Bernie and Johan Yang of Beauz three or four years ago. Once they liked what they came up with, Zedd sent the song to Morris and it really started taking shape once she agreed to come on board.

“Maren recorded a demo of it and sounded phenomenal, so I met her in Nashville, and we recorded the final vocal to ‘Make You Say’ and she took the song to a whole new level. ‘Make You Say’ is the kickoff of a new chapter for me and I can’t wait for the world to hear it,” Zedd told Billboard.

Morris said it was “such a thrill ride” to collaborate with Zedd on this track and she especially enjoyed the process of filming a music video because it involved elaborate choreography and animation.

This marks the first collaboration between Zedd and Morris since 2018 when their crossover hit “The Middle” came out. In addition to peaking at No. 5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, this song received three Grammy nominations including record and song of the year.

Many artists had put their concert tours on hold this year, waiting for a safer time to get back on the road, including Maren Morris. After the initial delay of her RSVP Tour, she decided to cancel it altogether, and she’ll focus on writing music for her next album instead.

Morris decided to make this difficult decision “with the prospect of, yet again, rescheduling half of the dates already becoming a reality.” Instead of making another shift, she offered a full refund to her fans and said she’s hoping they’ll be able to “come together and enjoy live shows safely again soon”.

The country star also added she’s in the midst of working on her third record, a follow-up to her 2019 album Girl. In addition to topping Billboard’s top country albums chart, this album produced a crossover smash hit “The Bones”, which found an even bigger commercial success in 2020.

In addition to ruling the radio waves this year, this single won both song and single of the year awards at this year’s CMA Awards. Morris also scored the award for female vocalist of the year at this ceremony, and went on to receive a Grammy nomination for the best country song with “The Bones”.

It’s been over a year since Maren Morris dropped her hit album Girl, and she’s finally back for more. The country star surprised her fans by dropping two new singles, titled “Just for Now” and “Takes Two”.

Morris’ two new tracks have been in the making for quite some time and are to be included in the deluxe version of her second major-label studio album Girl.

Girl has been out over a year & has been one of the most transformative periods of my life. During this time off the road, I had the opportunity to polish up 2 older songs of mine that I couldn’t wait for you to hear,” wrote the country singer on Instagram.

Girl came out on March 8th, 2019, and it was awarded Gold certification about a year later. It included the hit single “The Bones”, which became Morris’ first song to ever top Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart. She also received a Grammy nod for her Brandi Carlile collaboration “Common”.

Game of Thrones is coming to an end this year, but it will deliver a series of epic moments before it finally wraps up. It will also present us with a star-studded soundtrack called For the Throne, and we finally know the names of every artist who will be featured in this album.

Game of Thrones had an amazing score since the very start, but this project is quite unique since it sees modern artists creating music inspired by this show.

HBO previously revealed this record will feature “brand-new songs from an array of music’s biggest names”, and they sure kept this promise. The list of performers includes the likes of Maren Morris, The Weeknd, Ellie Goulding, and Mumford & Sons.

We’ll have to wait until April 26 to hear this album in full.

Game of Thrones had an amazing score since the very start, but this project is quite unique since it sees modern artists creating music inspired by this show.
