]]>Sarah Aubrey, Max’s head of content, revealed that this series ranks as the No. 1 Max original overall and is the most-watched returning Max original to date, and added they’re delighted to bring it back for another season.
“As we approach the highly anticipated season finale on Thursday, we raise our cosmos to Michael Patrick King and his magnificent team of writers, producers, cast, and crew who continue to charm us, 25 years later, with dynamic friendships and engaging stories,” said Aubrey in a statement.
Season 2 of And Just Like That… saw Carrie reconnecting with her old fling Aidan Shaw (John Corbett) in the aftermath of the death of her beloved husband Mr. Big (Chris Noth). Miranda’s journey of self-discovery continued in Season 2, while Charlotte tried to figure out her identity outside of being a devoted wife and mother.
Kim Cattrall, who played Samantha Jones in S-x and the City, is expected to return for a cameo in the Season 2 finale, set to premiere on August 24.

]]>The new teaser for Season 2 shows Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker), Charlotte (Kristin Davis), and Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) living it up in New York City. Carrie is finally back on her feet after losing her husband Big, but the trailer hints at a major shift in her life, as her ex-fiancé Aidan (John Corbett) arrives back on her doorstep.
Season 2 will also star Sarah Ramirez, Sarita Choudhury, Nicole Ari Parker, Karen Pittman, Mario Cantone, David Eigenberg, Evan Handler, Niall Cunningham, Alexa Swinton, and Ivan Hernandez. The first teaser also features three brand-new cast members – Victor Garber, Oliver Hudson, and Gary Dourdon.
The S-x and the City revival series premiered on HBO Max in late 2021 and scored HBO Max’s most-watched series debut following its premiere. Despite being billed as a mini-series, And Just Like That… was promptly renewed for its second season, which is set to premiere sometime in June.

]]>In the first look at the show’s second season, Carrie (Sarah Jessica Parker) and Aiden (John Corbett) are strolling through Manhattan, hand in hand. After several failed attempts to make their relationship work, they’re ready to give it another try.
Many fans expected Aidan to make an appearance during the show’s first season, but executive producer Michael Patrick King felt it was unnecessary because Carrie was already dealing with too much.
“We wanted to get her through [Big’s death] and into the light—the last episode is called, ‘Seeing the Light.’ We wanted to get her out. [Aidan’s return] is a big storyline that everybody at home wrote that we had never intended,” he told Deadline.
In addition to Sarah Jessica Parker’s Carrie, Miranda (Cynthia Nixon) and Charlotte (Kristin Davis) also returned in And Just Like That… while Samantha isn’t featured in the series after Kim Cattrall refused to get involved. The second season still doesn’t have a release date, but it will most likely premiere on HBO Max later this year.

]]>Even though we get a glimpse of the three notorious witches at the end of the trailer, the focus isn’t entirely on them this time around. The trailer opens with a younger generation of magic-obsessed teens bringing the Sanderson sisters back to life.
“It’s been 29 years since someone lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the 17th-century sisters, and they are looking for revenge. Now it is up to three high-school students to stop the ravenous witches from wreaking a new kind of havoc on Salem before dawn on All Hallow’s Eve”, reads the film’s official logline.
The young cast includes Whitney Peak, Belissa Escobedo, and Lilia Buckingham, playing the trio of teenagers who accidentally resurrected the Sanderson sisters. Doug Jones (The Shape of Water), Hannah Waddingham (Ted Lasso), Tony Hale (Veep), and Sam Richardson (The Afterparty) are also set to star.
Hocus Pocus 2 will premiere on September 30 and it will stream exclusively on Disney+.

]]>Our SATC wishes came true in January when it was confirmed that Carrie and the girls would be joining the long list of TV series that had been revived. Although Samantha would not be joining them due to behind-the-scenes drama involving Kim Cattrall, the rest of the ladies we love would be returning to our screens in the fall.
The 10-episode series, titled And Just Like That…, will follow the lives of Carrie, Miranda, and Charlotte as they navigate their 50s as opposed to their 30s. One of the big (ahem) questions is whether Ms. Bradshaw and her beau lived happily ever after, and the new teaser has given us our first indication…
During the clip which premiered during the 2021 Primetime Emmy Awards, Sarah Jessica Parker and Chris Noth could be seen dancing around the kitchen and sharing a loving kiss.
But, of course, what would Carrie’s life be without a little drama to shake it all up?
We have our Manolos ready for when And Just Like That… hits HBO Max.

“Oh my goodness me. Oh, I hope they get to me before I’m a corpse,” Midler told Entertainment Tonight. “We wanna fly again. I hope Disney+ is a big success and I hope we get to do it, because [Winifred] is, of course, one of my favorite characters…. I can’t wait to read the script. We’re gonna see what happens.”
“I don’t know if the worlds are going to collide so that we could all three do it at the same time,” Najimy added. “But I’m happy that it’s happening because the fans are really rabid and they really want it,” she added. “[And] if we’re not all available to star in it, I think it would be so great to do a cameo.
