]]>In addition to Sam Wilson aka Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Bucky Barnes aka Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan), the new posters give us a look at two more characters that we’ve been introduced to in the previous Marvel movies. The characters in question are the former S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Sharon Carter (Emily VanCamp) and the main villain Helmut Zemo (Daniel Brühl).
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier will show the two titular characters join forces “on a global adventure that tests their abilities—and their patience.” The series takes place after the events of Avengers: Endgame and the first of six episodes will premiere on March 19th.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier isn’t the only Marvel series coming to Disney+ this year. Loki starring Tom Hiddleston is scheduled to be released this June, while Hawkeye and Ms. Marvel are eying a late 2021 release.

]]>Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan are reprising their Avengers roles as Falcon and the Winter Soldier and teaming up for an adventure that will test their patience. The journey starts after Falcon receives the vibranium-ified Captain America shield from superhero retiree Steve Rogers.
An official synopsis hasn’t been released yet, but the six-episode series will take place after Avengers: Endgame.
The series will also feature Daniel Brühl, Georges St-Pierre, and Emily VanCamp reprising their MCU roles as Helmut Zemo, Georges Batroc, and Sharon Carter.
The show was created by Malcolm Spellman who will be executive producing with Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige. Kari Skogland directed the show.
Production hasn’t been running smoothly as filming started in January 2019 in Puerto Rico, but was forced to postpone due to earthquakes. Production was then paused in July 2020 because of the pandemic. The show wrapped up in late October 2020.
The Falcon and the Winter Soldier is set to debut on Disney Plus on March 19, 2021.

]]>The upcoming MCU series, starring Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan, was due to film back in March. Following the coronavirus pandemic, filming has had to be put on hold. Although lockdown is slowly being lifted worldwide, fans have been unsure whether the new series will be able to resume filming any time soon. This is because of the EU travel ban on U.S. travelers.
Fortunately, it is looking like the ban does not apply to filmmakers, who are classed as economic workers.
The Czech Film Commission head Pavlína Žipková said in a statement: “In relation to the EU declaring a travel ban on the US, please let me assure you this is not valid for economic workers but tourism travelers only. Filmmakers of all nations are welcome in the Czech Republic.”
At present, the series is set to debut in August this year. There has been no confirmed release date since the announcement that filming would be resuming was made.
