]]>Clarkson decided to move her talk show from Los Angeles to New York City so she could be closer to her family, but she had to leave some things behind along the way. Her coaching position on The Voice was one of them, and she has no regrets about this decision.
“I’ve learned a lot about what I’m capable of handling, and also what you should not handle. That was me saying ‘bye’ to The Voice and having this big move. I love that family, but I was like, ‘I’m struggling. I can’t smile anymore. I don’t feel like smiling,’” Clarkson told USA Today.
Clarkson and The Voice go a long way, and she served as one of the show’s official coaches between Season 14 and Season 21, before taking a short break and returning for Season 23. She left the show ahead of the ongoing Season 24, with Niall Horan, Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and Reba McEntire serving as coaches.

]]>McEntire is no stranger to helping The Voice contestants reach their fullest potential. She appeared as a battle advisor for Team Blake during the show’s inaugural season, so it’s only fitting for her to return for Shelton’s final season as a coach.
This time around, she’s joining the show as a mega mentor, but what does this role entail? She’ll be in charge of mentoring the remaining artists who have made it through the Battle Rounds, as each team prepares for the Knockouts taking place on April 17.
Season 23 of The Voice will premiere on NBC on March 6 and it’s bringing many format changes our way. Most notably, the show will introduce Playoff Pass during the Battle Rounds, allowing both artists in a battle to advance.
The artists in the Knockouts will be allowed to choose their own songs and perform them individually in front of the other competitors, while the Playoffs will make a comeback and feature 20 artists, allowing coaches to vote for two each to make it to the semi-finals.

The British hitmaker will mentor artists who have already made it through “Battle Rounds” as they prepare for “Knockout Rounds”.
During the Knockouts, artists will be paired against a teammate and get to choose and perform their own song, as their opponent watches and waits. Sheeran will use his experience with songwriting, musical production, and performing to prepare them for this challenge and help them make the best possible vocal and technical choices.
“Knockout Rounds” are set to kick off on October 25th, but his mentorship role on The Voice won’t be the only thing keeping Sheeran busy. He’ll also be busy promoting his upcoming album = aka Equals, set to come out on October 29th.

The 19-year-old singer was also joined on stage by his coach Blake Shelton for a duet rendition of “She Drives Me Crazy,” a song from British rockers Fine Young Cannibals.
Anthony is the eighth winner of The Voice that was coached by Shelton. This is by far the most in the show’s history, with the next on the list being Adam Levine and Kelly Clarkson with three coaching wins each.
“You being on this show and giving us the chance to be a part of your journey has changed the show forever and we’ve been needing that,” said Shelton of Anthony after the finale.
Anthony responded by thanking Shelton for allowing him to “explore my artistry” and “have as much fun with it as possible.”

]]>During a Q&A session on his Instagram Stories, Levine responded to a fan’s question of if he would be coming back the popular singing competition. He responded with three words, “No thank you?”
Another user asked him if he missed working with Blake Shelton and Levine jokingly replied, “Blake who?” And when another fan asked him which of Shelton’s albums was his favorite, he said “Who is this Blake you speak of?”
Levine joined The Voice in its debut season in 2011 and after being a judge for 16 seasons, the “Sugar” singer’s departure was announced in May 2019. Following his exit, Gwen Stefani stepped in late 2019.
At the time of his departure, Levine wrote this on his Instagram, “[The Voice] went on to be a life shaping experience that will be close to my heart forever,” he wrote via Instagram at the time. “Thank you NBC for signing me up. I am truly honored to have been a part of something I’ll always cherish for the rest of my life. Thank you to every single coach I ever sat in those chairs with. That is [a] shared experience that is singularly ours. We have that for life. Thank you to everyone who supported this long strange and amazing left turn into a place I never thought I’d go.”
Months after exiting, Levine explained on The Ellen Degeneres Show that he misses the show, but that it was too much work and that he wanted to spend time with his family.

Stefani will be reunited with coaches Kelly Clarkson, John Legend, and Blake Shelton, her colleagues from season 17. She took a break from the show after that so she could commit to her Las Vegas residency.
Earlier this year, Stefani released a duet with her long-time partner Blake Shelton, titled “Nobody but You”. It went on to become her highest-charting song in over a decade and peaked at no. 18 on the Billboard Hot 100.

The announcement was confirmed by the NBC show which wrote on its Twitter account that it’s not goodbye, but rather “see you soon”.

Chloe Kohanski taking the win didn’t come as a big surprise. The rocker did not only dominate The Voice iTunes Chart in almost every episode but was also seen as the early favorite by the judges.
“I think that you can be in the finale,” said Blake Shelton in October, after hearing Chloe sing Fleetwood Mac’s “The Chain” at the blind audition.
Chloe Kohanski, however, was close to being out of the show during the “knockout” round. She was dropped by her coach Miley Cyrus, who wanted to win the show with a country contestant. But, thanks to the rule incorporated in the fifth season, other coaches had the chance to “snatch” the dropped contestant. Both Blake Shelton and Jennifer Hudson offered Chloe a spot on their team, and she ended up choosing Blake’s.
“I have been sitting in this seat for 13 seasons and I have never heard a more well-rounded voice than that right there,” Shelton told Kohanski at the time. “I’ll be damned if you’re not a star, Chloe.”
Chloe Kohanski, at the end, might well become a big star. She surely has a voice to do it. After the win, Chloe will join The Voice: Neon Dreams, which is a Las Vegas residency at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, set to open in spring.
