]]>Tom Hardy shared an emotional post on Instagram, accompanied by a behind-the-scenes photo with the director Kelly Marcel and his long-time stunt double Jacob Tomuri. He revealed they’re back to shooting and gave a shout-out to the film’s cast and crew.
“We’ve come a long way – it’s been and continues to be a lot of fun this journey there are always hard turns to burn when we work but doesn’t feel as hard when you love what you do and when you know you have great material and the support at all sides, of a great team,” Hardy wrote on Instagram.
He also sang praises to Marcel, who’s making her directorial debut with Venom 3 after working on the script of the first two films. He wrote that watching her take the helm of this movie fills him with pride, and advised her to trust her gut because her instincts are always spot-on.
In addition to Hardy, Venom 3 will also star Juno Temple and Chiwetel Ejiofor, and it’s set to be released on November 8, 2024.

]]>The Bikeriders is based on Danny Lyon’s photo book of the same name, and it was directed and written for the big screen by Jeff Nichols, the acclaimed filmmaker behind Mud (2012) and Loving (2016). This marks his first film as a director in seven years – and it was certainly worth the wait.
20th Century Studios’s official logline describes The Bikeriders as “a furious drama following the rise of a fictional 1960s Midwestern motorcycle club through the lives of its members.” It’s told from the perspective of Kathy (Jodie Comer), who’s struggling to navigate her husband Benny’s (Austin Butler) untamed nature after he becomes a member of the motorcycle gang the Vandals.
The film’s impressive ensemble cast also includes Tom Hardy, Mike Faist, Norman Reedus, Michael Shannon, Boyd Holbrook, Damon Herriman, Beau Knapp, Emory Cohen, Karl Glusman, Toby Wallace, and Happy Anderson.
The Bikeriders was met with critical acclaim following its world premiere in Telluride, and it will hit the theatres on December 1.

]]>The production on Venom 3 kicked off in February, and its cast is shaping up to be pretty impressive. In addition to Tom Hardy in the titular role, the film will also star Ted Lasso’s June Temple, while Kelly Marcel is on board to direct, taking over from Andy Serkis. She co-wrote the story alongside Hardy, and this will mark her directorial debut.
The identity of Ejiofor’s character remains a mystery, but some fans are speculating he could reprise his Doctor Strange character Karl Mordo. It’s a far-fetched theory, but everything is possible after Disney acquired Sony and started exploring the idea of the multiverse.
Ejiofor appeared in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness just last year, and we’ll soon get to see him in The Pod Generation and The Old Guard 2. He’s also been making a shift to directing in recent years, and he’s currently working on his second feature film as a director, the biopic Rob Peace, in which he’ll also star alongside Jay Will, Camila Cabello, and Mary J. Blige.

]]>Based on Danny Lyon’s 1967 book of the same name, this film chronicles the origin story of a fictional Midwestern motorcycle club during the ’60s. What starts as a gathering place for local outsiders gradually evolves into a more sinister gang, threatening the original group’s unique way of life.
Nichols rose to prominence with movies Take Shelter and Mud, but we haven’t seen him helm a new project since 2016 when he directed the sci-fi film Midnight Special and historical drama Loving. He was attached to A Quiet Place: Day One but exited the project last year to focus on another film he was developing at Paramount Pictures.
The star-studded cast of The Bikeriders has also been keeping busy in recent months. Hardy most recently appeared in Venom: Let There Be Carnage, and he’s attached to Gareth Evans’ Havoc and Andrew Dominik’s War Party. Butler is fresh off the success of Elvis and we’ll soon get to see him in Dune: Part 2. As for Comer, she recently received an Emmy nomination for the final season of Killing Eve and she’ll next star in the HBO series Big Swiss.

]]>Unlike many movies these days, the Venom sequel wasn’t simultaneously released in cinemas and on streaming services, and giving it an exclusive theatrical release paid off big time for Sony Pictures.
“We had confidence in the theatrical experience, confidence in our big valuable IP, and took full advantage and had the patience to weather all of this. That strategy is paying off, which we’re happy about. It’s a nice validation of the theatrical strategy,” said the president of Sony Motion Pictures Group, Josh Greenstein, in an official statement.
Venom: Let There Be Carnage was originally set for release on October 2nd, 2020 but it arrived in theaters about a year later after being hit with several major delays. Following its opening, it earned a worldwide total of $103.9 million, including $90.1 million in North America and $13.8 million in other territories. Tom Hardy and Michelle Williams returned to their respective roles from the original movie, while Woody Harrelson joined them as Cletus Kasady aka Carnage.

]]>Ever since Daniel Craig hinted that he no longer wanted to retain the part of James Bond, there has been speculation as to who would take over the role.
Craig is the 7th actor to portray 007, following in the footsteps of Sean Connery, Roger Moore, and Pierce Brosnan. Having starred as the secret agent since 2006’s Casino Royal, the Knives Out star confirmed that No Time to Die would be his final outing as Bond.
Several names have been thrown into the martini glass as Craig’s replacement, including Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Henry Cavill, Regé-Jean Page, and even Gillian Anderson. But Bond’s producers are putting the whole idea on hold.
“We’re not thinking about it at all,” said Barbara Broccoli. “We want Daniel to have his time of celebration. Next year we’ll start thinking about the future.”
Hardy is currently the bookies’ favorite with odds of 3/1.

]]>Venom producer has confirmed that Tom Hardy is on board the Venom sequel.
2018’s Venom was definitely a surprise hit, grossing more than films like Wonder Woman and Thor: Ragnarok, bringing in more than $800 million worldwide.
“I can say that Tom Hardy will be back, magnificently playing that character as no one else can,” producer Amy Pascal told Fandango. “When you think of Venom, you’ll never be able to think of anyone but Tom Hardy sitting in that bathtub of lobsters. And once you saw Tom Hardy do this character, that’s all you needed to know.”
There are no concrete details of the sequel story line but it’s safe to assume that convicted serial killer Cletus Kasady played by Woody Harrelson, who made an appearance in the end scenes of the original, will make a comeback.
