]]>Pascal’s casting had been a public secret for months before Marvel finally made things official. The Mandalorian and Last of Us star will lead this superhero flick as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, and he’ll be in a pretty good company!
Vanessa Kirby (The Crown, Mission: Impossible franchise) will join him as Sue Storm aka the Invisible Woman, along with Joseph Quinn (Stranger Things) as Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch, and Ebon Moss-Bachrach (The Bear) as Ben Grimm aka the Thing.
Jack Kirby and Stan Lee’s The Fantastic Four comics have already been adapted on several occasions. Tim Story Fantastic Four and Fantastic Four: Rise of Silver Surfer from 2005/2007 grossed over $635 million, but struggled to impress the critics, while Josh Trank’s 2015 reboot crashed and burned both critically and at the box office.
Matt Shakman (WandaVision) will get the chance to do things right this time around, and he’s directing this project off a script by Josh Friedman, Jeff Kaplan, and Ian Springer. The Fantastic Four will be released in theatres on July 25, 2025.

]]>Eden was originally announced under the working title Origin of Species, and its production team revealed it “explores the human condition in ways that are unexpected, absurd, humorous, se-y, but above all thrilling and deeply suspenseful.”
Eden is inspired by an unsolved true mystery that unfolded on a remote island in the Galapagos. Howard spent the past 15 years trying to tell this story that “charts the lengths humans will go in pursuit of happiness”, and he finally made it happen after finding the perfect partner in crime in the screenwriter Noah Pink.
The cast of Eden was pretty impressive even before Kirby and Sweeney hopped on board, replacing Alicia Vikander and Daisy Edgar-Jones. Jude Law (Fantastic Beasts), Ana de Armas (Blonde), and Daniel Bruhl (All Quiet on the Western Front) also star.
Production will kick off in late November, but only a small part will actually be filmed at the Galapagos. Cast and crew will spend most of the time in Queensland, Australia, where Howard also filmed his last thriller Thirteen Lives.

]]>Sony Pictures’ official logline describes Napoleon as a spectacle-filled action epic that details the checkered rise and fall of the iconic French Emperor Napoleon Bonaparte, capturing his relentless journey to power through the prism of his addictive, volatile relationship with his one true love, Josephine.
Phoenix and Scott are no strangers to filming historic epics by each other’s side. Phoenix became a household name after playing Commodus in Scott’s historical drama Gladiator and earned an Oscar nod for the best supporting actor for this performance.
Scott has been fascinated by the French emperor for a long time, but it took years to get the film about him off the ground. This project was initially announced under the working title Kitbag back in 2020 and experienced several shifts before Apple Studios agreed to finance it.
Vanessa Kirby will join Phoenix as Josephine, while the supporting cast will include Tahar Rahim, Mark Bonnar, Rupert Everett, and Youssef Kerkour. Napoleon will be released on November 22 by Sony Pictures Releasing, before streaming on Apple TV+ at a later date.

]]>Bidegain is best known for writing the scripts for A Prophet and Rust and Bone, and Suddenly will stand out in his filmography as a rare directorial effort. He’ll also be in charge of writing the script for this project, based on Isabelle Autissier’s French-language novel Soudain Seuls.
According to Deadline, Suddenly “follows a couple who become stranded on an island in the South Atlantic and must fight for survival when their dream journey becomes a nightmare.” It will mark the second collaboration between Gyllenhaal and Kirby, who previously starred together in the 2015 adventure film Everest.
Gyllenhaal most recently starred in Marvel’s Spider-Man: Far From Home, and we’ll soon get to see him in the crime thriller The Guilty. Kirby is fresh off her Oscar-nominated role in Pieces of a Woman, and she’s set to reprise her role as the White Widow in the next two Mission: Impossible movies.

]]>The upcoming summer blockbuster called Hobbs and Shaw will focus on an unlikely alliance between two fan favorites. It’s still unclear why are they teaming up, but director David Leitch is promising a movie full of surprises. We can always expect a lot of twists and turns when Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw happen to be together.
It seems they’ll be getting some company since Vanessa Kirby just joined the cast. Idris Elba is also cast to play the main villain.
Kirby rose to prominence as Princess Margaret in period drama The Crown. After Netflix decided to shake things up and replace the cast, the actors started looking for new exciting roles. Just like her on-screen sister Clair Foy, Kirby refused to be a victim of typecasting. She searched for characters that aren’t even close to royalty and that’s exactly what she found. BAFTA-nominee was already cast in Mission: Impossible – Fallout and it’s just a matter of time before she joins another action blockbuster. The girl is on fire!
