]]>Snyder is no stranger to putting his twist on the popular IPs, from Watchmen to Justice League. He was asked if he’d consider tackling a pre-existing franchise during a recent interview with The Atlantic, and he made quite an interesting choice.
“It’d be cool to see, like, 20-year-old James Bond. The humble roots that he comes from. Whatever trauma of youth that makes you be able to be James Bond. There has to be something there,” said Snyder, who’s currently busy promoting his Netflix space epic Rebel Moon.
The James Bond franchise is in dire need of a reboot after Daniel Craig’s tenure as 007 came to an end with the release of No Time to Die in 2021. The long-running producer Barbara Broccoli said that the next film won’t start filming until “at least” 2024 because they have “a big road ahead” as they try to find a new James Bond and modernize the franchise.

]]>In the trailer, there’s an epic battle between the Justice League and a new villain, big bad Darkseid (Ray Porter), who was supposed to be the main villain of the first cut of the film but wasn’t included in the final cut. The clip also shows a conversation between Jared Leto’s Joker and Ben Affleck’s Batman.
“We live in a society where honor is a distant memory,” The Joker says. “Isn’t that right, Batman?”
The film has Batman, Superman, (Henry Cavill), Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), The Flash (Ezra Miller), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) teaming to protect the world from the villains—Darkseid, Steppenwolf (Ciarán Hinds), and DeSaad (Peter Guinness), who want to destroy the planet.
The movie is a result of years of grassroots campaigns to get Warner Bros. to #ReleasetheSnyderCut after Snyder left Justice League in early 2017 to recover from a family tragedy as well as creative differences. The studio brought in Joss Whedon, director of Marvel Studios’ The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron, to re-write and re-shoot the film.
Zack Snyder’s Justice League debuts on HBO Max on March 18. Watch the trailer below.

]]>The director has confirmed this during a panel at Justice Con, an event dedicated to Justice League. During the panel, he shared some details on the movie, including a clip showing Superman’s black suit. “I will tell you guys, at Fandome there will be more footage so you can look forward to a bigger meal, if you will. You don’t have to watch just the same three shots over and over again… That clip [the black suit Superman clip] is more for fans…it’s the realization of an idea.”
Although Snyder directed Batman v. Superman and Man of Steel and is still credited with directing Justice League, the end result is very different from his vision. He left Justice League unfinished and Joss Whedon took over the helm for extensive rewrites and reshoots. The end result met with disappointment from critics and audiences alike.
This resulted in a call to release Snyder’s cut—which is due to happen next year on HBO.

]]>Fans have been campaigning for years for DC Film’s Justice League to offer Zack Snyder’s cut of the film which saw Batman, Wonder Woman, Aquaman, The Flash, Cyborg, and Superman share the same screen.
Snyder made the news on Wednesday during a live Q&A following a virtual screening of his Henry Cavill-led Superman film Man of Steel.
Snyder completed most of the work on Justice League before having to step away from post-production after a family tragedy. Warner Bros brought in Joss Whedon, helmer of The Avengers, to finish the project and many believe that Snyder envisioned a darker take on the film.
The film was reported to budget at $300 million and it grossed over $650 million worldwide, but was not popular among critics and was perceived as a miss.
#ReleaseTheSnyderCut was started by fans online and in November 2019, Wonder Woman star, Gal Gadot, kicked the campaign into overdrive by tweeting the hashtag with a grayscale still from the film and Affleck, Snyder, and Jason Momoa shortly followed.

]]>The Russian-American author’s most famous novel, The Fountainhead, is expected to get its cinematic treatment sooner than we think.
Whilst the 1943 book was made into a film by Warner Bros. in 1949, Superman VS Batman: Dawn of Justice director, Zack Snyder, announced in 2016 that he would be producing his own version.
It is believed that the 52-year-old would be making The Last Photograph, about a war photographer in Afghanistan, as his next project, but that appears to have changed according to a fan question on social media site, Vero.
When asked what his next project would be, Snyder answered with The Fountainhead.
