The show must go on?
Despite Roseanne being canceled last week, rumors are rife that a spin-off could be in the works. ABC announced that the revival of the show — which had already been renewed for a second season — would be canceled following remarks made by its star, Roseanne Barr.
Last week, the network and producers of the show reportedly met to discuss possibilities of a spin-off, with Variety saying that talks are still on-going.
One of the options for the spin-off is a Darlene-centric show.
The biggest hurdle for a spin-off could be that Roseanne gains financially from the show (as she created the characters) which ABC and producers will not agree to.
We’ll have to wait and see.
