Taylor Swift has been breaking records left and right since the start of her career, and she’s showing no signs of stopping! The iconic pop star just made history as the first female artist in Spotify history to reach 100 million monthly listeners on this platform.

Spotify confirmed the amazing news on their social media accounts, and described Swift’s latest accomplishment as “queen behavior”. To make the whole thing even more impressive, Swift is only the second artist in Spotify history to reach 100 million monthly listeners after The Weeknd, who crossed this number back in February.

Many factors came into play and helped Swift cross this coveted number. She’s currently charting three albums on the Billboard 200, including Midnights, Lovers, and Speak Now (Taylor’s Version). She also created a lot of buzz for the upcoming re-recording of 1989 (Taylor’s Version) after announcing it in early August, and her loyal fans are already gearing up for its release on October 27.

Swift’s ongoing The Eras Tour is also responsible for the renowned interest in her music. It’s a homage to all of her ten studio albums, and it’s projected to set the record as the highest-grossing concert tour of all time before it concludes in November next year.
