After a lot of anticipation, Taylor Swift finally dropped her new album Midnights and she found a perfect way to celebrate its release. She shared a cheeky music video for the record’s lead single “Anti-Hero”, which sees her coming to terms with her past, present, and future.

Midnights hit the shelves on October 21, setting several major records in its wake, just like most of Swift’s previous albums. It broke Amazon Music’s and Spotify’s all-time record for the most streamed album in a single day, while Billboard later reported it became the best-selling album of 2022 with over 800,000 units sold in pure sales in just one day.

“Anti-Hero” was released as the album’s lead single, and Swift dropped the self-directed music video for this track on the day of its release. She can be seen doing everything from hanging out with her past self to attending her funeral and watching her family fight over the inheritance. She described it as one of her favorite songs she’s ever written because it allowed her to delve into her insecurities.

“This song really is a real guided tour throughout all of the things I tend to hate about myself. We all hate things about ourselves. It’s all of those aspects of the things we dislike and like about ourselves that we have to come to terms with if we’re going to be this person,” explained Swift on Instagram.
