Taylor Swift continues to dominate the music industry with each new album release, and her latest re-recording has been nothing short of groundbreaking. Speak Now (Taylor’s Versions) effortlessly claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart, setting several historic milestones along the way.

Speak Now (Taylor’s Versions) easily hit No. 1 with the biggest week for an album in 2023, garnering a remarkable 716,000 equivalent album units, with 507,000 in traditional album sales alone. It’s Swift’s twelfth album to debut at No. 1, transforming her into a female artist with the most chart-topping Billboard 200 albums, breaking the record previously held by Barbra Streisand.

As if that wasn’t enough, Speak Now (Taylor’s Versions) isn’t Swift’s only album in the top ten right now. It joins Midnights (2022) at No. 5, Lover (2019) at No. 7, and Folklore (2020)—and this also happens to be quite a historic achievement.

Swift becomes the first female artist in history with at least four albums in the top ten at the same time since the introduction of the Billboard 200 chart six decades ago. The all-time record is still held by Prince, who managed to simultaneously have five albums in the top ten after his passing in 2016.

Speak Now (Taylor’s Versions) hit the shelves on July 7, and Swift created a lot of buzz for this record with the newly released single “I Can See You”.
