Speak Now is one of the early albums that put Taylor Swift on the map, and its new version is just around the corner. The Grammy-winning star announced the release of Speak Now (Taylor’s Version) in July and said it would feature six previously unreleased songs.

Swift broke the news on social media by sharing a photo in a purple dress, reminiscent of the iconic Speak Now album cover gown. She also reflected on the journey of making this album and explained it was recorded during a time of brutal honesty, unfiltered diaristic, confessions, and wild wistfulness.

“I always looked at this album as my album, and the lump in my throat expands to a quivering voice as I say this. Thanks to you, dear reader, it finally will be. I consider this music to be, along with your faith in me, the best thing that’s ever been mine,” she wrote on Instagram.

The original version of Speak Now hit the shelves back in 2010 and sold one million copies during its first week alone. It produced singles “Mine”, “Back to December”, “Sparks Fly”, “Ours”, “Mean”, and “The Story of Us”, which will be featured on Speak Now (Taylor’s Version), along with six previously unreleased “from the vault” songs.
